Los Alamitos High School Choir Presents Holiday Memories

Los Alamitos, CA, December 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Los Alamitos High School Vocal Music Program is performing their Holiday Show on December 8, 9 and 10th. “Holiday Memories” is this year’s theme and it is a celebration of all aspects of this joyous season, taking you on an unparalleled holiday journey. From a trip around with the world, with a stop at the North Pole (of course), a visit with elves from the Broadway hit “Elf,” and special tribute to our troops serving overseas.

“I’m sure we will be singing a few of your holiday favorites,” states Mr. David Moellenkamp, choir director. “We hope the music you hear the students perform puts you in the holiday spirit and rekindles the wonderful feelings of joy, hope and peace.”

All five choirs perform under the direction of Los Alamitos Choir Director, Mr. David Mollenkamp and Musical Director/Accompanist, Mr. Eddy Clement. With over 300 members, it is the largest choir program in Orange County and exposes students to classical music, music theory, dance, theatrical history and more. Mr. Moellenkamp explains, “This is a team and on this team everyone gets on stage to sing and dance. We are fortunate to have a diverse group of enthusiastic kids of various talent levels who just want to entertain.”

The Los Alamitos Show Choir is ranked as National Grand Champions for 2011 and 2010. They have performed in New York, on stage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee and most recently at the Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, California.
