Penta Laboratories Celebrates 50 Year Anniversary

Chatsworth, CA, December 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Penta Laboratories is celebrating 50 years of operation this year. Penta was founded in 1951, was acquired by Raytheon in 1973, and eventually became a wholly owned subsidiary of Penta Financial Inc.

Soon after opening, Penta became renowned for the development of the beam-power pentode. Prior to the introduction of the pentode, electron tubes had lower power than their applications needed. These pentodes provided greater power output than previous models of electron tubes. Greater power allowed for the use of these tubes as power amplifiers. Musicians also continue to prefer this type of tube for their guitar amplifiers.

Penta Laboratories has continued to develop, innovate, and expand their product offerings for the past fifty years of operation. Recent additions to the line include the MG5193.
