Go-Ped I-Ped2 Portable Electric Scooter is New at UrbanScooters.com
The newest offering from online scooter retailer, UrbanScooters.com, has just been announced. The Go-Ped I-Ped2 is the latest electric scooter to be offered in their online shop.
South Pasadena, CA, December 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Go-Ped I-Ped2 is the latest product to enter online electric scooter and bike retailer, UrbanScooters.com's inventory. The I-Ped2 from Go-Ped is an upgraded version of the original I-Ped. It's an environmentally friendly, light-weight, compact electric scooter that provides transportation for commuters and recreation for all.
The Go-Ped I-Ped2 comes with a series of new features and specifications that amplify its performance, handling and comfort. The original Go-Ped I-Ped portable electric scooter was a ground breaking new release, combining power and compact size in a unique way. It was the first 1 horsepower electric scooter small enough to fit under the seat in train, bus or under a desk at school or work. The small solid original I-Ped tires had the disadvantage of giving a rough ride and the brakes on the older model were not the highest grade offered by the company. Go-ped has corrected both features with their new release. The GoPed IPed2 offers air filled, pneumatic tires and their signature "Mad Dog" disk braking system along with a rear fender foot brake.
The Go-Ped I-Ped2 offers new battery options as well. The Li-Ion batteries found on the original IPed were the most advanced of their kind, but also very expensive. The new model offers two more battery configurations that let a rider choose the price and performance that best suits their needs. The I-Ped2 is available with Lithium Polymer, Lithium Phosphate and Sealed Lead Acid batteries.
President of UrbanScooters.com, Frank Minero said, “The original I-Ped design was out of this world, but the new changes really take the cake. I can't imagine a better scooter for a commuter making their way to work or school. The I-Ped2 is one of the most interesting scooters I’ve seen in the 9+ years I’ve been working with electric scooters.”
The same advanced tech controller and motor are found on the I-Ped2 that came with the original model. The scooter offers a 1000+ watt 24V DC brush motor with aluminum “electro head” finned heat sink. The heat sink feature draws heat away from the other components saving the controller and wiring from abusive heat transfer. The 1000+ watt motor is controlled by an advanced computerized, pulse width modulated variable speed programmable controller that offers protection from low voltage, peak amperage protection, motor overheating, max speed protection, and stall protection.
The Go-Ped I-Ped2 offers additional components and features and components found on the original I-Ped, as well, including; a mandrel bent heavy duty 4130 seamless chromoly aircraft grade carbon steel frame, a freewheel capable chain drive system, aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum hardened folding handlebar, variable speed thumb throttle that offers both an economy and turbo mode and four different battery system options.
