Oliver Wight to Present at New Supply Chain Event in China
Business improvement specialists, Oliver Wight, are expanding across Asia with a new office in Hong Kong, an education academy in Singapore and now presenting at a new supply chain event in Shanghai, China.
Sanghai, China, December 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Peter Metcalfe, Partner at business improvement specialists, Oliver Wight, will be presenting the benefits of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) at the inaugural S-Council Annual Congress, "Maximising Supply Chain Value," in Shanghai on Friday 16th December, 2011.
At the leading edge of Oliver Wight’s management thinking and practice, IBP (advanced S&OP) is a common sense process for aligning the company plans every month. It provides greater control over demand, production and supply chain activities.
Peter has over 28 years experience helping blue chip organisations across the world to improve their planning processes: "With the continued uncertain economic environment, it is more important than ever to have control of your business, and IBP can help you do that," he says. "It integrates business processes and aligns people behind the business plan so it can be executed in a cohesive and effective manner, which means it can help you increase revenues, improve profitability and reduce inventory. In fact, Oliver Wight clients report profitability gains of 15 per cent or more as a result of IBP."
The S-Council Annual Congress is a new event running from 15th to 16th December 2011, designed for industry professionals to discuss development and innovation of supply chain strategy, and share practices in risk management, visibility, cost control and partnerships. The event will be run by S-Council, which is short for China Supply Chain Executive Council, a membership-based organisation for supply chain related professionals in the Asia Pacific region.
Oliver Wight has a 40 year track record of delivering business improvement to some of the world’s best known organisations. This is the first Chinese event attended by the business consultants, and marks a wider expansion across the Asian region; they recently announced the opening of an office in Hong Kong.
