Catamount Consulting to Hold Safety Training Conference
Two-day Spring Thaw Safety Training Conference will serve professionals in the mining, safety and construction industries.
Warrensburg, NY, December 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Catamount Consulting, a MSHA, OSHA and workzone safety training company, today announced it will present a two-day MSHA training conference, the Spring Thaw Safety Training Conference, February 15 and 16 at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, N.Y. Topics to be covered include: dealing with regulatory groups, electrical, rigging, accident prevention, hazard awareness, lock-out/tagout, first aid/CPR, mobile equipment and supervisory training workshops.
“Spring is a busy time in the mining and construction industries, and according to MSHA studies, it is also a dangerous time,” said Scott McKenna, director of Catamount Consulting “There are many new employees who enter the industry and many more who return from seasonal layoffs, and they’re going to be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions that are either entirely new or not fresh to them. This conference will help them get back to work—safely and productively.”
Industry trainers brought in from around the country will lead more than 30 different safety classes over the course of the two-day conference. The Registration fee is $99 per person.
Catamount Consulting began independently hosting the Spring Thaw Conference in 2011, after working with MSHA to deliver the event. McKenna credits MSHA with conceiving the valuable safety training program and says that the focus of the event remains the same—to offer affordable educational and networking opportunities to professionals in the mining, safety and construction industries that will help them do their jobs better.
