The Rembrandt Hotel was proud to sponsor “The Essilor Bangkok Eco Challenge 2011,” a part of the Amazing Adventure Race Series under the concept “Racing for a greener Bangkok” that will take place on February 11, 2012 at Nong Chok area Bangkok.
Bangkok, Thailand, December 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Rembrandt Hotel was proud to sponsor “The Essilor Bangkok Eco Challenge 2011,” a part of the Amazing Adventure Race Series under the concept “Racing for a greener Bangkok” supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
Eco-Friendly Outdoor activities are gaining more popularity around the world and in Thailand as well. Adventure racing is a new and very fast growing sport that integrates physical and mental endurance, teamwork, the great outdoors and adventure.
Racing is a non-stop expedition during which teams must complete a course from checkpoint to checkpoint as a group. Teams travel by different methods such as mountain biking, trail running, canoeing, rafting, swimming, rappelling and more.
The challenge will take place at Nong Chok, Bangkok on Saturday February 11, 2012 and is expecting 1,000 participants in the competition. The race is categorized as Extreme level for very fit competitors and experienced racers and Adventure level for beginners. A team has to pair up for 2 persons. Registration opens at 6:30 till 07.30 hrs and the race starts at 8.30 hrs and finishes at 15:00 hrs. The free shuttle bus to the racing venue is available but booking is required.
