ScrapbookFlair Adds Free Marketplace, Free Holiday Design Collections & Parental Controls in Beta 5.0
Atlanta, GA, May 03, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Aurora Digital Imaging today announced another major enhancement of its popular Scrapbook Flair community site (www.ScrapbookFlair.com), the third major enhancement in 6 months. The Beta 5.0 release introduces a new commercial MarketPlace for its Members and expands beyond the features which have rapidly made it one of the top web communities for scrapbooking in the world. The new features that have been added in Beta 5.0 include:
1. Free Advertising MarketPlace for Members
2. Parental Controls
3. Free Design Collections for all major U.S. holidays
4. Sponsored Challenges
“The Scrapbook Flair Member MarketPlace was developed to permit Members of the ScrapbookFlair community to offer scrapbook related products and services to other scrappers. This free listing service is organized by the type of product or service, including such popular categories as Designers and Professional Scrapbookers,” said Rae Ann Gregg, Editor of ScrapbookFlair. “This way, scrappers can find whatever resources they need without having to exit the community.”
The 2nd major feature set is parental controls. Recognizing that an increasing number of minors are participating on the site (with some as young as 5 years old), ScrapbookFlair management decided the responsible thing to do is to have their parents or legal guardians have access to their accounts so they could passively monitor their activities. This monitoring would cease on the day the minor scrapper turns 18. This also creates a parent and child activity on the site, so they may both enjoy digital scrapping together and share scrapbooks with other members of their family.
The 3rd new feature has something for every digital scrapper or cardmaker: ScrapbookFlair has an extensive library of Free Designer Collections. Now scrappers and card makers can get free artwork for every U.S. Holiday during the year to use in their scrapbook pages and cards – absolutely free!
The final new feature builds on the very popular Member Scrapbook Challenges and allows 3rd party businesses to sponsor their own challenges. In Sponsored Challenges, the sponsoring company gives away prizes for the winning scrapbooks and/or participants. Each Challenge Sponsor can create their own rules and will have their Challenge permanently posted in the Challenge Archives.
“Scrapbook Flair has accelerated its development as a truly international scrapbook community site, with over 25,000 registered Members from all 50 states and over 110 countries. By listening to our Member suggestions we upgraded the site with our new design and more fun features,” said Rae Ann Gregg, Editor of ScrapbookFlair. “I am thrilled to hear the reaction of scrappers worldwide to these enhancements.”
