Ridgefield, CT, May 02, 2007 --(PR.com)-- “Amie, whatcha gonna do?” See the Pure Prairie League at The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and the Performing Arts, that’s what. The country rock band who sang “Amie,” “Let Me Love You Tonight,” and “Falling In and Out of Love,” is coming to The Playhouse at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 12. 95.9 Fox is the media sponsor.
It just seems to fit—for a group of musicians to form a band in 1969, write their own songs, develop a distinctive sound and emerge with two of the most highly-acclaimed albums in music to date, Pure Prairie League has brought it all back home with the release of their new album, “All in Good Time.” With a breezy blend of acoustic and electric guitars, midtempo melodies and soaring harmonies, songs such as “Walking in My Sleep” and “Meant to Be” are instantly recognizable as the band that broke big with “Amie.” The sound harkens back to the early years, yet it has a seasoned eye on the future. “We set out to make a record that followed in the footsteps of our first two albums—simple arrangements, lots of harmony, but all new songs,” explains Craig Fuller, founding member. In the band now are Craig Fuller, Rick Schell, Fats Kaplin, Donnie Clark and Stick Davis.
