Panjkot Productions Announces Final Casting Call for Realty TV Show "Operation Panjkot"

Reality TV contestants will compete with earthquake survivors for tents, food and clothing in Panjkot, Pakistan in a desperate attempt to live through a Himalayan winter in a remote village devastated by the recent earthquake.

Los Angeles, CA, October 28, 2005 --(PR.com)-- On November 2, 2005, Panjkot Productions, in conjunction with El Dia de los Muertos, will announce a nationwide open casting call for the final two contestants in a ground breaking Reality TV show, Operation Panjkot.

Ten contestants will be transported by helicopter on November 14, 2005 to the remote Pakistani village of Panjkot with only a satellite video phone and a three-month supply of batteries. "Vas a verme ganar el prize money,” said Pilar, contestant from Miami.  Contestants will compete with earthquake survivors for tents, food and clothing in a desperate attempt to live through a Himalayan winter in a remote, abandoned and completely devastated village. "I can't wait to show those Paki's how it's done," said Barb from Scottsdale, Arizona. Contestants have signed liability waivers in case they are not rescued before winter storms make airlifts impossible. If the contestants are rescued from Panjkot, the show will follow them as they survive in the refugee camps of Muzzaffarabad.

Cable TV viewers will vote each week for their favorite contestant by making donations in the contestant's name to organizations trying to reach Panjkot. Contestants who stay until the last villager is rescued will be eligible to continue the competition in the refugee camps. "Is Pakistan in Africa?" asked Amber, girlfriend of contestant Travis, when alerted of her boyfriend's selection.

This earth-shattering weekly show will offer American television viewers a frosted window into the raw desperation that is Panjkot. "I'm the fiya, Whodi. Ima show um how to do it up in Panjkot, like a Cadillac soulja, witha realness, ya heard me? Like we did wit to Katrina. WHAT?" said contestant Lil' Dubya.

Because American lives are often considered to be more valuable than those of all other nationalities, producers expect viewers to understand the urgency of the situation after seeing their fellow citizens freezing and starving to death on television. "I'm confident our viewers will donate enough money so that all of the inhabitants of Panjkot can be evacuated," says Anna C.K.G. Green, Operation Panjkot Creator and Executive Producer, "We're going to shock and claw our way to top ratings. If anyone is offended by our show, I suggest they get offended by what's going on in Panjkot."

Complete unedited footage along with casting couch interviews, production notes, Anna Green's commentary will be available on the DVD version to be released in March 2006. Ringtones, screensavers, plush toys, t-shirts and other merchandise from China will soon be available nationwide.
