Nashville’s Artist to the Stars, Corey Frizzell to be on Hand at Rising Artist, Rachael Johnson’s Old North State Winery & Brewery Concert to Autograph Show Poster
Nashville, TN, December 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Nashville’s Artist to the Stars, Corey Frizzell will be on hand December 17th with rising artist, Rachael Johnson for her one night only concert to be held at the prestigious Old North State Winery & Brewery, in Mt. Airy, NC. Corey and Rachael will autograph a show poster designed by Frizzell to be given to one lucky winner at the show.
The Frizzell family, most famous for its prominence on the Country Music Charts, is witnessing the artistic successes of the second generation. Although he has siblings following in the Frizzell music footsteps, who have accepted the challenge of emerging from the giant shadow first cast by the family music patriarch, Lefty Frizzell, Corey chose a different path, a path to create his own shadow.
Corey falls somewhere in the middle of the six children spanning four decades of Allen Frizzell, former Nashville recording artist and younger brother of the Legendary Lefty Frizzell and Country Star, David Frizzell.
Corey has been a Golden Gloves Boxing Champion, acted in music videos and cast for two roles in the original Stephen King movie, “Children of The Corn”. If that's not interesting enough, he's now a visual artist in high demand, creating custom portraits, stunning graphics and web design.
With royal country music blood running through his veins, Frizzell has come full circle and been named the Artist to the Stars for his artistic collaboration with some of Country Music, Bluegrass and Country Gospel Music's biggest names including, George Jones, Randy Travis, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Mark Newton, Carl Jackson, Mark Chesnutt, Gene Watson and Joe Nichols to name a few.
The Old North State Winery and Brewery, located in the burgeoning Yadkin Valley wine region in a renovated 1890’s mercantile building in historic downtown Mount Airy, North Carolina, started as a cooperative in 2002 and has since evolved to a winery owned by two families with one vision.
A Nashville transplant, Rachael Johnson, grew up in the original “Mayberry”, a place memorialized in Americans’ hearts as the beloved home town on the Andy Griffith Show. Three years in TN has found Johnson as an in demand solo artist. She is currently playing 20 to 25 shows a month in Nashville, surrounding cities and states, while sharing the stage with Country Stars like Jo Dee Messina, Josh Thompson, Little Texas, Dave Gibson, Chris Young, Craig Campbell and Trent Tomlinson to name a few.
