Neal Communities Strengthens Families with Family Partnership Center

Bradenton, FL, December 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Neal Communities contributed $1,000 to the Family Partnership Center’s 100 Hole Golf Marathon, held at the Ritz Carlton Members Golf Club earlier this fall. This was a unique golf outing where the golfers had exclusive use of the golf course for the entire day. Neal Communities was a corporate sponsor at the suggestion of local Realtor® Susan Hilton, a friend of both Neal and the Family Partnership Center.

“Families are the backbone of our society. Strong families create great communities. This is why we support the Family Partnership Center,” explained Neal Communities’ president, Pat Neal. “We are proud to be associated with such a fine group that’s helping strengthen families and prevent problems—a cost-effective, smart model.”

There were around 20 golfers that participated, each attempting to play 100 holes of golf in one day. The golfers raised money through pledges that were made “per hole.” The event raised a total of $33,000.

The Family Partnership Center’s mission is to strengthen local families and prevent child abuse through a continuum of parenting education programs. “Research shows that ineffective and uninformed parenting predisposes children to school failure, health issues, and even mental health problems. Ineffective parenting is also the root cause of child abuse and neglect,” said Family Partnership Center’s executive director, David Potter.

The Family Partnership Center works with people living in DeSoto, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties. The services they provide are free.
