The 6th Annual Carying Place Benefit Auction Announces Presenting and Platinum Sponsors
Time Warner Cable, Penn Compression Moulding, Inc. and Quality Staffing Specialists to sponsor local charitable event
Cary, NC, May 04, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The 6th Annual Carying Place Annual Benefit Auction, scheduled for Friday, May 11, 2007, at the Matthews House in Cary, has announced that Time Warner Cable is the Presenting Sponsor. Penn Compression Moulding, Inc. and Quality Staffing Specialists are Platinum Sponsors of the event.
Last year’s Maggy award-winning event raised over $50,000 to benefit The Carying Place. This year’s event will feature both silent and live auctions featuring “priceless experiences”. The Carying Place teaches homeless families with children necessary life skills for attaining independent living while providing them with short-term housing support services. The Carying Place, Inc. provides a Transitional Housing Program (THP) that gives families an opportunity to stabilize their financial situation, leading to permanent self-sustaining housing. Each family accepted into the program is paired with a volunteer team, which works with the family to develop a personalized plan for self-sufficiency. Through financial assistance and broad-based counseling in life skills, The Carying Place seeks to help people work toward self-reliance and growth. They serve up to eight families at a time, and families stay in the programs up to four months.
