New York’s Second Annual Vegetarian Food Festival Has New Vendors
New York, NY, December 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Little Duck Organics and Green Mountain Energy are the two newest vendors which have signed up for New York’s second annual Vegetarian Food Festival, to take place March 3-4, 2012 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea.
With a logo featuring a neon-yellow open-beaked duck, Little Duck Organics produces dried fruit snacks with no added sugar, for children of all ages. Green Mountain Energy, on the other hand, offers products that are far less tangible but equally as PC: clean electricity, carbon offsets, and solar power solutions for homes and businesses.
The festival is produced under the auspices of U.S. Veg Corp, a Brooklyn-based company. Organizers expect a total of 100 vendors, all showcasing products which are vegan, healthful, and environmentally friendly. There will also be animal welfare information tables, live entertainment, children’s activities, cooking demos, top-shelf speakers, and thousands of free food samples.
The festival’s first edition took place in April 2011. That event was over-subscribed, with hundreds of people waiting up to 3 hours to enter the festival grounds. In an attempt to alleviate the overcrowding, the 2012 version will be spread over two days instead of one, will sport double the exhibition space, and will charge a nominal general admission price ($5). VIP passes and other special admission packages will be offered as well.
Where:
The Metropolitan Pavilion
125 West 18th Street
(Between 6th and 7th Avenues)
New York City
When:
Saturday and Sunday
March 3-4, 2012
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. both days
