8 Year Old Chicago Area Boy Writes & Produces Christmas Song

Chicago, IL, December 23, 2011 --(PR.com)-- A Local Chicago area boy has written a Christmas song with a special message for everyone this holiday season. Ian Floodstrand, a budding young musician from Skokie, Illinois has written almost 100 songs at the young age of 8 years old.

Young Ian Floodstrand's latest composition is entitled "Merry Christmas To Everyone," and was produced by Ian in his studio accompanied by his 6 year old sister Soleil Floodstrand, and father DJ and Producer David Floodstrand on background vocals.

The song, "Merry Christmas To Everyone," has an ambient, electronic feel, and reflects the young composer's passion for Electronic, Techno, and Trance music styles. Ian wrote all of the music, and produced the arrangement including all the instruments and percussion. The words extend a message of hope, and innocence, and are delivered in a talking, sing song style that is both unique, and infectious.

Ian Floodstrand also has the distinction of being one of the youngest Disc Jockeys in the country and practices his mixing, and music writing for many hours a day. "Merry Christmas To Everyone" is a free download and available to the public.

Ian's father, Producer and owner of the indie label Criterion International, says "I never pushed Ian in this direction, and find him to be incredibly motivated, ever since I caught him in my recording studio in the middle of the night at 3 years old, I can't get him away from my gear," he said laughing.
