Fort Myers Attorney John Lewis Achieves 20 Years of Florida Bar Certification
Fort Myers, FL, December 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that Attorney John Lewis received his fifth certification by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education in civil trial law. Board certification is granted for only a five year period, after which every certified lawyer must reapply for this distinction. Lewis was first awarded board certification in 1991. The Supreme Court of Florida has stated that board certified lawyers have “special knowledge, skills and proficiency in [their] practice area, as well as character, ethics, and a reputation for professionalism.”
Lewis concentrates his litigation practice in the defense of automobile, premises and other tort litigation. He also represents school boards, municipalities and other governmental entities in civil rights litigation in state and federal court. Lewis is a member of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and is an original member of the Calusa Inns of Court Chapter. He is also past president of the Lee County Bar Association. Lewis received his undergraduate degree, law degree and graduate degrees from Florida State University.
