Fallen Warrior Foundation Launched to Benefit Military Families
Surviving spouses and children of our fallen heroes will be provided with counseling, financial aid, and educational assistance.
Haven, KS, December 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Fallen Warrior Foundation recently launched in an effort to provide yet more support for the families of our fallen war heroes. Often times, these families slip through the cracks of the system and get little support in regard to crisis counseling, educational support for their children, and of course, financial aid.
Surviving in today's economy is difficult enough. The loss of a loved one, especially a family member lost in battle, creates a rather stressful and emotional crisis for the family members. In addition to the emotional loss, there are often harsh economic repercussions for the surviving family members. Learning how to properly deal with the loss of life is something for which few families are truly prepared.
The Fallen Warrior Foundation's mission is to provide assistance in all of these areas for the survivors. Offering things such as emotional counseling, financial aid, and educational assistance, the foundation hopes to be able to make the transition to life without their hero much easier on the family. After all, the children have already given the ultimate sacrifice in losing their father or mother, why should they be faced with further difficulties or have their future put in jeopardy?
The FWF will also run several events throughout the year in an effort to raise both money and awareness for the foundation and its cause. The first event has already been announced, The Fine Wine & Good Times Charity Event, and will be held on August 25, 2012, in Hutchinson, Kansas. More information is available regarding this event on the website.
The Fallen Warrior Foundation is currently accepting donations via its website (http://www.fallenwarriorfoundation.org/) and offers a free t-shirt to anyone donating over $30 to this cause.
