Author and Journalist Dominic Carter to Appear on CNN’s Nancy Grace Show
New York, NY, May 06, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Dominic Carter, prominent journalist and author of the newly released iUniverse book No Momma’s Boy, is scheduled to appear on CNN’s Nancy Grace show, Thursday, May 10, 2007.
Carter, host of television station New York 1's long-running political show Inside City Hall, has been described as New York’s best political reporter working in television today. His newly released memoir, No Momma’s Boy, deals with an extremely personal and sensitive subject—the childhood abuse that he suffered at the hands of his mentally ill mother.
Following his mother’s death six years ago, Carter requested a copy of her medical records. What he found within the 620 pages was both shocking and disturbing. “Over the years, I had never been told that my mother was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic,” Carter said. “But that was not nearly the worst of it. I discovered that she tried to choke me to death, harbored thoughts of tossing me out a window, and had sexually abused me as a child.”
In his interview with Nancy Grace, Carter will discuss his tumultuous relationship with his mother and his difficult decision to publicly reveal the abuse he suffered at her hands within the pages of his self-published memoir. The show is scheduled to air Thursday, May 10, 2007 from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET on CNN.
Nancy Grace is television's only justice-themed/interview/debate show, designed for those interested in the justice stories of the day. Grace challenges guests on the most controversial and high profile legal issues of the day by drawing on her unique perspective as a former violent crimes prosecutor and as a crime victim herself.
