MSPublishing House Released “The Scroll First Chapter,” an iPad Application for Middle School Students in the App Store
“The Scroll” is a new type of workbook. A workbook that blends a captivating story with interactive math and science challenges that are aligned with the curriculum standards. “The Scroll” is designed as a comic book series in which each chapter builds off the cliffhanger of the previous one. The First Chapter is set in the mysterious woods of Transylvania, the birthplace of the main heroes Zoe and Zolnar. They are destined to find The Scroll, an object with magical powers. The Scroll can bring happiness or despair depending on the motives of its owner. In order to find it Zoe and Zolnar must overcome multiple math and science challenges.

Raluca Sirbu, the creator of “The Scroll” is a Professional Development provider with over 8 years experience in delivering engaging math and science workshops to teachers. Raluca is the co-author of a white paper “The Daemon as Educator: Ubiquitous Access to A Personal Mentor” presented at the ICSIT conference Orlando, 2010 and published in “Journal of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics.” She currently works in telecommunications and is involved in the evolution of the technology and its applications.
