IMC to Assist Treasury Department with Data Center Migration
Innovative Management Concepts, Inc. has been awarded a contract to assist the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) with a data center migration in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
Dulles, VA, January 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Innovative Management Concepts, Inc. (IMC), a systems engineering and information technology company, has been awarded a contract through the Veterans Technology Services (VETS) Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) to assist the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) with a data center migration in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
OCC, whose primary mission is to charter, regulate, and supervise all national banks and federal savings associations, solicited proposals for data center infrastructure migration planning and execution support in connection with a planned move from the OCC’s data center currently based in Landover, Maryland. Under the contract, valued at more than $3 million, IMC will develop the strategies and detailed execution plans for the physical relocation of equipment to a leased facility that is yet to be determined in the Washington Metropolitan Area. IMC will work with Sev1Tech and Information Innovators Inc. to provide the contracted services, which bring to the team a great deal of experience in relocation and consolidation of mission-critical IT in both the commercial and government markets.
IMC’s CEO, Robert Might, noted that, “This award brings work to IMC that is a logical extension of the IT support services that we provide to a number of Federal agencies. IMC’s extensive experience and knowledge of network engineering and server administration provides the perfect foundation for data center migration projects. IMC’s partnership with Sev1Tech and Information Innovators Inc. creates the best possible team to handle the OCC data center relocation.”
IMC began providing services under this contract on December 27, 2011.
