Best Lawyers to Self-Publish Local Lawyers Publications in Over 30 Major Metropolitan Areas Across the United States
Aiken, SC, January 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Best Lawyers, LLC, publisher of the oldest and most highly-respected peer review guide to the legal profession worldwide announced that it will self-publish its local listings in stand-alone magazines in over 30 different cities nationwide. These stand-alone publications will appear in some of the top newspapers and magazines across the country, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, and The Philadelphia Inquirer, among many others.
Local excerpts from Best Lawyers® have been appearing in local publications for years, but Best Lawyers has worked with one of the country’s most well-respected designers to give these excerpts a better look and a more client-friendly feel than ever before.
Best Lawyers will also be launching several new publications throughout the year, focused on its Lawyer of the Year selections as well as on the nation’s listed leading female lawyers.
Best Lawyers is also inaugurating two annual corporate publications, featuring excerpts of listed lawyers in specific corporate practice areas, for direct distribution to 30,000 general counsel in the U.S. and 55,000 leading lawyers worldwide. This will provide the listed lawyers in these practice areas an even larger audience than they received over the past few years in Corporate Counsel magazine.
Steve Naifeh, President of Best Lawyers® comments, “Best Lawyers has long since been the most respected peer-review ranking of lawyers. We are delighted to bring a strong, fresh new design to our excerpts in local publications in order to focus even more attention among a vast audience of potential clients on our selected attorneys nationwide.”
Best Lawyers’ local publications feature geographic excerpts of the prestigious Best Lawyers in America® list. Inclusion in Best Lawyers is based entirely on peer review. The methodology is designed to capture, as accurately as possible, the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.
Best Lawyers employs a sophisticated, conscientious, rational, and transparent survey process designed to elicit meaningful and substantive evaluations of the quality of legal services. The quality of the Best Lawyers peer-review survey is directly related to the quality and transparency of its voting pool. Lawyers are not allowed to or required to pay a fee to be listed, nor is any purchase required. For years, The American Lawyer has called Best Lawyers “the most respected list of attorneys in practice.”
According to Naifeh, “We recently opened up an office in New York, led by Director of Sales Brad Silberberg, formerly sales director at ALM. Together with a large team of extremely accomplished professionals, he will make sure that every firm that continues to participate in the Best Lawyers local publications or participates in them for the first time has a seamless experience. We pride ourselves on the fact that our product, our sales team, and our customer service have been and will continue to be the platinum standard for the legal profession.”
About Best Lawyers:
Best Lawyers is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. A listing in Best Lawyers is widely regarded by both clients and legal professionals as a significant honor, conferred on a lawyer by his or her peers. For three decades, Best Lawyers lists have earned the respect of the profession, the media, and the public, as the most reliable, unbiased source of legal referrals anywhere.
Our lists of outstanding attorneys are compiled by conducting exhaustive peer-review surveys in which tens of thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers. If the votes for an attorney are positive enough for inclusion in Best Lawyers, that attorney must maintain those votes in subsequent polls to remain on the list for each edition. Lawyers are not permitted to pay any fee to participate in or be included on our lists.
Best Lawyers® peer-reviewed listings are now published in almost 70 countries around the world, and our presence has grown substantially in the international legal community. The eighteenth edition of The Best Lawyers In America (2012) includes 43,629 attorneys in 135 practice areas, covering all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and inclusion in this year’s publication is based on more than 3.9 million detailed evaluations of lawyers by other lawyers.
