Presque Isle Downs and Casino Announces "Winter Weekend Of Poker"
Presque Isle Downs and Casino is sponsoring a Winter Weekend of Poker January 13th through January 16th, 2012. There will be a total of four events during that time period.
Erie, PA, January 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Presque Isle Downs and Casino is sponsoring a Winter Weekend of Poker January 13th through January 16th, 2012. There will be a total of four events during that time period.
The first event is scheduled for January 13th at 1:30 am (Saturday early morning). There is a $75 Entry ($60 + $10 + $5). The second event is scheduled for Saturday, January 14th at 11:30 am with a $560 entry fee ($500 + $50 + $10). Satellite Tournaments into the second event will be offered from January 9th- 12th at 12:30 and 7:30 pm daily. The third event is scheduled for Sunday, January 15th at 1:30 pm and is a Bounty Tournament with a $125 entry fee ($100 + $20 + $5), with $50 from each entry going to the prize pool and $50 going to a bounty. The last event is scheduled for January 16th at 12:30 pm with a $75 entry fee ($60+$10+$5). Registration for all four events and satellites open two hours prior to each time start.
“We are excited to offer the Winter Weekend of Poker,” said Christine Stacy, Poker Room Manager. “We chose this holiday weekend for such an event since many people are off from work and will most likely be looking for some fun and excitement come mid-January. This event will give us a chance to showcase our room, the quality of our staff, and create an exciting, fun, friendly atmosphere for poker players.”
The new Presque Isle Downs and Casino poker room features nine tables in a state-of-the-art glass enclosed smoke free environment. The poker room offers live poker games in a wide range of stakes, from $3-6 Limit, $1-3 No Limit to the highest limits customers care to play.
The poker room also features table side dining and cocktail service.
“We offer a great poker experience here,” said Fred Buro, Presque Isle Downs and Casino President and VP and Chief Marketing Officer of parent company MTR Gaming Group Inc. “This is another opportunity for us to showcase events that take place at Presque Isle Downs and Casino.”
As part of the casino’s effort to offer this exciting experience, legendary poker player Chris Moneymaker was recently named the official Poker Ambassador for Presque Isle Downs and Casino and will frequent the casino periodically to participate in tournaments and other special events.
