TomCat Films LLC Acquires “Family of Four” for International Sales
Dramatic film stars Alexandra Paul (Baywatch) and Robert Lewis Stephenson
Beverly Hills, CA, January 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Film Sales Company TomCat Films LLC and producer, New Artists Alliance, announced that they have made an agreement for the international distribution rights to Family of Four, starring Alexandra Paul (Baywatch), Ty Simpkins, Abby Wilde, Daeg Faerch, and Robert Lewis Stephenson.
Family of Four is a drama that explores the problems facing an American family struggling to deal with hidden desires and personal limitations.
“Alexandra Paul plays Janice, an unstable mother and a recovering alcoholic pent up with guilt and rage, who trades addiction for a life of deceit and adultery with an underachieving husband who, put off with the lack of passion in his marriage, pursues a young coworker in an attempt to regain his youth,” explains director, John Suits. "Their teenage daughter, overwhelmed by insecurity, trades her sexuality for acceptance. Their seven-year-old son, lamenting the loss of his imaginary friend due to prescribed medication, trades fantasy for the harsh reality of his surroundings.”
This is the second feature film for director-writer Suits. His first feature Breathing Room can be seen in over 20 languages in over 40 countries and has grossed over 2500% of the film's cost. It is distributed in the United States through Anchor Bay/Starz Network.
The film’s star, Alexandra Paul, is the star of over 70 feature films and television programs, she can also be seen in the award-winning documentary Who Killed the Electric Car? Internationally recognized for her 5-year starring role as "Lt. Stephanie Holden" in the hit series Baywatch, Alexandra began her acting career in 1982, at age 18, starring in the highly-rated telefilm Paper Dolls. She then began starring in studio flicks like Stephen King's Christine; American Flyers opposite Kevin Costner; 8 Million Ways to Die opposite Jeff Bridges and Andy Garcia; Dragnet opposite Tom Hanks and Dan Aykroyd, and Spy Hard with Leslie Nielsen. Since 2000, Alexandra has starred in 10 movies appearing on Lifetime.
“Family of Four is an emotionally powerful and gripping film about the collapse of the modern family. Alexandra Paul does an award winning performance. We look forward to debuting the film at the upcoming European Film Market,” says TomCat President and C.E.O., Ted Chalmers.
