cincinnati, OH, May 09, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Penn Station East Coast Subs inked a deal with the Cincinnati Reds hours before the first pitch was thrown Friday night at the Great American Ball Park. The latest in local restaurants and restaurant chains (including, LaRosas, Skyline Chili, Montgomery Inn) to have a presence in the Great American Ball Park. “Cincinnati has been very good to Penn Station and this was clearly a natural fit,” says Craig Dunaway, president of Penn Station, Inc. The two Penn Station stadium kiosks/booths feature the signature Cheesesteak Subs and Fresh-Cut fries in addition to a variety of beverages.
“The Cheesesteak Sub Sandwich and our fries are our best sellers … our primary challenge was to maintain our product’s quality at a location other than our franchised restaurants, which must adhere to corporate food preparation guidelines,” says Craig Dunaway, president of Penn Station, Inc.
“The Reds worked diligently with us to ensure our needs were met,” adds local franchisees Jim Couch and Bill Lanzit. Unlike many quick-service restaurant offerings, our sandwiches and fries require a great deal of preparation because all of our ingredients are fresh … I doubt there are many ball parks serving up fries that are cut fresh from potatoes the day of the game,” adds Dunaway.
“In our experience, first-time Penn Station customers are easily converted to lifetime customers … we view our presence at GABP as a terrific opportunity for trial and, thus, will greatly enhance our awareness and traffic,” adds John Doyle, president of the Penn Station Cincinnati Ad Cooperative. “Our customers are is fiercely loyal,” he adds.
Penn Station East Coast Subs is an upscale, quick-casual restaurant chain, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. There are currently over 173 Penn Station Restaurants in 12 states.
