Heather Hammond Named Cambridge Who’s Who Professional of the Year in Floral Artistry
Otorohanga, New Zealand, May 09, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Heather Hammond, Floral Designer of The Flower Shoppe has been named Cambridge Who’s Who Professional of the Year in Floral Artistry. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women is an honor, only one member in each discipline is named the Cambridge Who’s Who Professional of the Year. The Cambridge Who’s Who selection committee hand picks these special Who’s Who honorees based on accomplishments, academic achievement, leadership and service.
Hammond has 20 years of experience as a professional floral demonstrator and arranger, and 40 years overall floral design experience. As a floral designer of The Flower Shoppe, she is responsible for designing all types of arrangements for a variety of occasions and events. In addition, Hammond teaches, judges, lectures and demonstrates on floral design internationally. The Flower Shoppe provides full floristry services, including event and special occasion designs, consultation and education.
Hammond is certified by separate exams and qualified as a judge, teacher and lecturer by the Floral Art Society of New Zealand (1973-1985). In order to stay current with leading new design styles and trends, Hammond dedicated a week of her time to apprentice with European masters. She also attends continuing education courses and seminars and is a member of New Zealand Professional Florists, Interflora and Teleflora.
