About Jim Pitts
Jim Pitts facilitates research and development activities within the BITS Project Management Office. He came to BITS in March 2010 to manage technology centric projects, special interest groups, and other initiatives. Just prior, he worked with the Financial Services Technology Consortium (FSTC) for several years as the managing executive of the Payments Standing Committee. Jim was with EDS for 25 years working in multiple executive operations positions within their financial and insurance group, and finally as division president of U.S payment services. He is also the author and producer of the "Surfing Payment Channels" book series focused on emerging payments technology along with associated security and fraud issues. Jim is a native of Dallas, Texas, where he earned a BBA from Southern Methodist University with emphasis in Management Science and Organizational Behavior.
