Canine Designers Raise Money and Awareness for Canine Cancer Cure

2 Hounds Design and Casual Bling raise money for canine cancer awareness by selling products designed to promote awareness.

Indian Trail, NC, May 09, 2007 --(PR.com)-- 2 Hounds Design, a manufacturer of designer dog collars, has joined forces with Casual Bling, handcrafter of canine and human jewelry, to help raise awareness and money for canine cancer research. Funds raised are going to Hope for Hounds, an organization that funds the research of Dr. Guillermo Couto, a leader in canine oncology research at Ohio State University in Columbia, Ohio.

Dr. Couto’s research focuses on osteosarcoma, which is a form of cancer most common in large breed dogs such as greyhounds, great danes, etc. His latest findings reveal a treatment protocol that results in longer survival rates than conventional chemotherapy.

The collars designed by 2 Hounds Design are called "Believe" and "Hope" and are available in both Martingale and Buckle style. The "Believe" collar features yellow and white stripes with purple and teal dragonflies with the word "Believe." The "Hope" collars feature a batik print pink ribbon design with the words "Hope" and "Love" and are available in pink and pastel. Six dollars from every sale goes to Hope for Hounds. The collars can be seen at http://www.2houndsdesign.com/believe.htm

The collar charms designed by Casual Bling feature a dragonfly to match the collars with yellow accent beads. The human necklace comes with your choice of a "Hope" or "Believe" round charm with an optional greyhound charm in the middle.

2 Hounds design owner Alisha Navarro, said "I have watched too many dogs lose their battle to cancer. I wanted to do something to help cure cancer. I am excited about the progress Dr. Couto has made and I am happy to be able to support his research efforts." 2 Hounds Design has helped raise over $10,000 since 2006 for Hope for Hounds by hosting charity auctions and donating a portion of merchandise sales.

2 Hounds Design is a woman-owned company that provides high fashion designer Martingale and side release dog collars for all breeds, with a special focus on large breeds and sighthounds such as greyhounds, whippets and afghan hounds.
