ER Express improves the patient experience through SaaS-based technology. First launched in Q4 2011, this latest release (version 2.0) adds new functionality and a simpler, more intuitive interface for patients.

First released in October 2011, the platform gives patients with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries a simple, user-friendly web-based tool for reserving a time slot in the ER. Once a reservation is confirmed, the patient waits in the comfort of his or her home, and then arrives at the ER for treatment at the selected appointment time.
The release of version 2.0 features the beta version of ER Passport, a new module that allows primary care providers to electronically transmit referral information via a secure web-based tool when they send their patients to the ER. Today, most physician clinics rely on leaving a message for or sending a fax to the ER, a method that often results in a major disconnect between the clinic and the ER. ER Passport enables the ER provider to know that the patient is coming as well as read the primary care physician’s diagnosis and notes ahead of time, and then communicate back the outcome to the primary care physician.
