Supermarket Insurance Group Now Licensed in 23 States
Overland Park, KS, January 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- With the recent addition of its agency licenses in Alabama, California, and Pennsylvania, Supermarket Insurance Group is now licensed in 23 states.
Jeff Tennison, Vice President of Program Development/Risk Management, stated, “With the markets we currently represent, and the agencies contracting with us, SIG can now serve more states than our companies have at any time in my 30 years of servicing supermarkets and retail grocers. We can now service business in nearly all the states from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Ocean. And, we’re looking to add more states as well.”
SIG represents several admitted insurers, all rated “Excellent” by A.M. Best, as an underwriting general agency and can currently assist insurance producers for retail grocers and supermarkets in the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. SIG does business in California as Supermarket Insurance General Agency due to California’s entity naming regulations.
Tennison concluded, “The insurance products offered by SIG provide grocery specific coverages to protect the assets of independent retail grocers. Along with specialized coverage, grocers can benefit from SIG’s loss prevention programs and claims handling expertise to help reduce the ultimate cost of their insurance.”
