Fresh Salon Occupies the Second of Only Two Retail Spaces in the Rhythm at Music Row

Nashville, TN, January 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Fresh Salon has recently relocated from a modest 700 square foot quaint little space on 17th Avenue to an amazing 1,400 square feet of style and tranquility at its new home on the ground floor of The Rhythm at Music Row.

“I was immediately drawn to this building,” said Owner Rosemary Darby, “and I think I have seen almost every available space in the downtown area.” Rosemary ideally wanted retail space under a high rise condominium for convenience, and one that provided ample parking for those not in walking distance, a tough combination to find. As a resident in The Terrazzo, she is no stranger to both the conveniences and challenges of downtown living. “After falling in love with the location and rustic type warehouse feel this space offers, I realized the only other retail space in the building was occupied by N2SKIN. We specialize in all things hair at Fresh, being located next door to a spa who can offer our clients almost everything else seemed like the perfect fit.”

Walk in the front door at Fresh Salon and you are immediately captivated by the stunning chandelier suspended from the 20 foot ceilings in the center of the salon. A rustic iron framed open globe surrounds a spectacular crystal chandelier illuminating from within. Rosemary (or Rose as she is referred to by her clients) said “It’s actually the first purchase I made once securing this amazing space. The entire salon was designed around the chandelier.” Adding clean lines to this eclectic look, is the impressive 1,600 pounds of solid white oak that serves as the counter space throughout the salon; a generous gift from a special client, Fowler Lumber. One piece alone is 12 feet in length and weighs over 200 pounds.

Not only did Fresh Salon double in space, they also doubled in professional stylists. Fresh Salon is where the amazing talents of stylists Debbie Dover-Hall, Julee Bellar, Brian O’Conner, Eric Wright, Roger Tison and Derrick Lachney (returning home after 2 and a half years in DC to join their family) can be found on almost any given day. “We’ve all known each other for a long time and been connected in the styling industry in one way or another. Having each done our own thing, we decided it’s time to all be together,” said Rose when asked about her fellow stylists. “I couldn’t hand pick better people to work with, oh wait, I did hand pick them! Really, we picked each other, we’re like family!” As owner, Rosemary wanted all the stylists to have an input in the design of the new space. “The salon belongs to all of us, a little bit of each of us is in it; that’s what makes it special,” says Rosemary.
