The Crystalline Grid Releases Inexpensive Next Generation WiFi Superspots for Long Range Point-of-Sale Internet Access, Video Security, and Internet Telephony

Atlanta, GA, January 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Today, The Crystalline Grid, leader in mesh routing technology, has released a low-cost WiFi “superspot” that provides community Internet access, Video Security, and Voice over IP (VoIP) services with as little as a single Internet connection for a distance that automatically grows with every installation.

Unlike household WiFi routers, The Crystalline Grid’s NetBeacon™ offers an out-of-the-box solution at a $149 price point for long-distance WiFi access, in a way that each additional high-power NetBeacon™ self-configures to increase the network coverage area up to an additional quarter-mile without requiring an additional Internet connection. The Crystalline Grid also provides an optional FineView™ or NightView™ video camera that plugs into the device, and its high-definition video is captured on The Crystalline Grid’s cloud-based MobileDVR™ service. MobileDVR™ provides remote video storage, motion detection, and online viewing by desktop computers, Androids™, and iPhones™, while the user is notified via text message if activity is detected at their location. Voice over IP (VoIP) services are also provided to NetBeacon™ users at a low price point, using The Crystalline Grid’s optional phone adapter or roaming WiFi phone.

As a standalone service, MobileDVR™ turns any Android™, iPhone™, or iPad™ into a live video monitoring device. Any smart phone simply runs an application that sends its camera video to MobileDVR™, which in turn stores live video, looks for motion events, and notifies the user via email or text message, while all video can be viewed from any computer or smart phone.

NetBeacon™ is designed for consumer, business, and community use, and provides a way for groups to scale their fixed telecommunication costs to what they actually need. The NetBeacon™ owner can selects some users to access the Internet free on its secure network, while visitors are presented with the opportunity to pay for a period of access via credit card or PayPal™, or printed vouchers can be sold by the NetBeacon™ owner. As the network grows, additional Internet connections can be added which auto-configure at every NetBeacon™ to provide greater bandwidth as well as independence from any single Internet carrier.

NetBeacon™ provides a way for entrepreneurs and local business owners to offer valuable services and products to their community with little more effort than mounting a small device in their window and connecting a cable to their existing broadband router or modem.
