Needham, MA, January 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Cambridge Healthtech Institute (CHI) today announces that John Quackenbush, Ph.D., Professor, Biostatistics and Computational Biology, Cancer Biology Center for Cancer, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, has accepted CHI’s invitation to speak at its inaugural Bioinformatics & Cancerinformatics conference to be held on February 21-23, 2012 at the Moscone North Convention Center in San Francisco, CA. This program is part of the Molecular Medicine Tri-Conference.
Dr. Quackenbush’s presentation entitled “The Road to Personalized Medicine is Paved with Data and Information” is scheduled for Thursday, February 23 at 8:35-9:05 a.m. Dr. Quackenbush is a leader in the fields of genomics and computational biology and the author of The Curiosity Guide to the Human Genome (2011). His presentation will explore the elements necessary to successfully develop an integrated program using genomics and medical data, together with other sources of information, to arrive at robust biomarkers that can be reliably used in a clinical setting.
The Bioinformatics & Cancerinformatics conference is one of the program offerings at CHI’s flagship event, the Molecular Medicine Tri-Conference (February 19-23).
