Dr. Roa-Espinosa's expertise is in biological systems engineering, biodegradable polymers for erosion control and water clarification and agricultural engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Biological Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Roa-Espinosa is the recipient of the Distinguished Achievement Award from the University of Wisconsin and the College of Engineering and the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association. Dr. Roa-Espinosa is a member of the American Association of Agriculture Engineering and the Association of Sugarcane Technologists.
