Looking for "Beauties & Geeks"
Paul Wharton to host casting call for "Beauty & the Geek" televison show currently running on the CW22 TV Network.
Washington, DC, May 11, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Casting Directors from the CW Network's breakout reality series, "Beauty & the Geek" will be in Washington, DC on Sunday, May 13th--seeking the best of that region's beauties and geeks to appear in Season Four of the hit series. The casting call will be held from 11am to 5pm at WDCW-TV's Georgetown Studios at 2121 Wisconsin Ave., NW Washington, DC.
For those not familiar with this fabulous television series, "Beauty & the Geek" pairs gorgeous but academically challenged women with brilliant but socially impaired men to test intellectual and social skills; and as seen in past episodes, when the chemistry is right the sparks will fly.
During each season's competition, the geek tries to pass brains on to the beauty while the beauty helps the geek overcome social awkwardness. At the end of the eight-week series each contestant comes out as a changed person and one couple will walk away with a quarter of a million dollars.
"Beauty & the Geek" is from Fox21 and is produced by Katalyst Films and 3 Ball Productions. There is also a heavy collaboration of talented executive producers including Ashton Kutcher(the hunk from "Punk'd" and "That 70s Show"), Jason Goldberg("Guess Who," "Punk'd"), Nick Santora("Prison Break," "The Sopranos"), J.D. Roth ("The Biggest Loser," "For Love or Money") and Todd A. Nelson("The Biggest Loser," "For Love or Money").
As a bonus for this casting call since its being held on Mother's Day, host Paul Wharton will accept contestants who live outside of the Washington, DC area. Those interested may email Paul with their name, contact information, stats (height, weight, size) and a few sentences on why they'd make a great Beauty or Geek. Photos should be sent in the body of the email as no attachments will be opened or accepted.
