Texas Trust Credit Union Increases Local Banking Competition in Grand Prairie
Texas Trust Credit Union purchased a former bank building in Grand Prairie, Texas. This building will become Texas Trust Credit Union's ninth branch, the third in Grand Prairie.
Mansfield, TX, January 18, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Texas Trust Credit Union will soon open another branch in Grand Prairie, its ninth in north Texas, giving area consumers more choice for their banking options. The credit union is taking ownership of the former Wachovia bank building at 3060 West Camp Wisdom Road, which it recently purchased.
This will be Texas Trust’s third branch in Grand Prairie. Located in southern Grand Prairie, the 4,030-square-foot building is being rebranded and converted to serve the needs of Texas Trust members. Its two other Grand Prairie branches are located in the northern part of the city.
This heavily trafficked area at Camp Wisdom Road and Highway 360 will give Texas Trust greater exposure in the market, and put it in head-to-head competition with two major national banks, which are located in the same vicinity of this major thoroughfare.
The new full-service branch will have four drive-through lanes, a drive-up ATM, and a complete portfolio of financial services for both consumer and business needs, including Small Business Administration lending.
Texas Trust will staff the new branch with 11 full-time and two part-time employees, several of whom will be new hires. Valarie Brogdon-Weaver has been named branch manager and Krystal Hamilton assistant manager.
The target date for the branch’s opening is March 31.
“This new branch will give area consumers more options for their banking needs,” said Jim Minge, president of Texas Trust Credit Union. “It will also give us more exposure, allowing us to increase our market penetration and compete more aggressively with the national banks.”
