OLC Global Announces the Amazing Commitment of Bringing 200 Jobs Back to the US, and to Wichita, Kansas with the "Jobs4america" Program
A certified woman owned business commits to bringing 200 jobs back to the United States. These jobs will help strengthen the local economy in Wichita, Kansas.
Wichita, KS, January 18, 2012 --(PR.com)-- OLC Global announced today that they have joined the “Jobs4America” Coalition between the American Teleservices Association and the Federal Communications Commission. This new coalition of forward-looking American businesses have committed to creating 100,000 jobs in America. OLC Global is adding 200 jobs in Wichita, KS this year as part of this coalition and “possibly even more,” according to Peggy O’Connor, President of OLC Global. “We are growing and we are not alone.”
Even President Obama has weighed in on the subject recently by encouraging corporations to bring back to the United States the jobs they have sent off-shore. The Teleservices Industry is expecting a number of the larger corporations in the industry who have gone off-shore to places like the Philippines, Mexico, India, Costa Rica, etc, to begin returning those jobs to America. Americans have been complaining for a long time about the way the companies they do business with in the U.S. treat them when they have a problem. A major credit card company has put the problem out front in their recent television ad that begins with a shack in what appears to be Siberia, Russia, when a man answers the phone and says, “Helloooo, this is Peggy,” in a mock accent.
According to Peggy O’Connor, “I am Peggy, and I do not have a foreign accent when handling a customer service call.” She said. Her company has had a presence in Wichita since 2005 and is headquartered in Bartlesville, OK where the company moved its headquarters from New York in 1994. When asked why she has such a big commitment to Wichita she said she wants to add the 200 jobs here because, “Wichita is a unique place to do business and we have found some of the most outstanding people to join our team here. They are smart, loyal, kind and eager to learn,” Ms O’Connor stated. She went on to say, “We have determined that companies in this industry can no longer stay small and be the boutique shop that we used to be. You have to grow into a larger player to stay relevant and we have plans to make that happen. We have expanded our sales force and will be concentrating on customer service oriented and the consumer Teleservices business. OLC Global is also an active member of the Wichita Chamber of Commerce.
Background
The company is a Nationally Certified Woman owned company and has a cadre of management staff that have been with the company for periods of 10 to 25 years. “I think the reason for this is that we are like a large family and really care about one another,” said Peggy O’Connor, President and Founder. She went on to say, “We are convinced that as we grow we will not lose that atmosphere because of our core values and the way we promote them.” The company is headquartered in Bartlesville, OK and has 160 seats in Wichita KS with plans to re-open a facility in Bartlesville and adding another 70 seats in Wichita.
