4GS Gear Urban Wear Pays Homage to "Forgotten Souljas"
Cleveland, OH, January 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- 4GS Gear Company, announces the launch of their retail website http://www.4gsgear.com. The company specializes in quality urban wear clothing, hats and buttons that focus attention on the memory of what it calls "Forgotten Souljas."
The phrase "forgotten souljas" was coined by company owner, Phillip Jackson. The spelling of the word "soldier" has been tweaked to read "soulja" to put emphasis on the memory of those special persons still with us in spirit. Phillip (fondly known as Philli-Mac), explains that "forgotten souljas" are those “profoundly influential people in our lives that are no longer with us on earth, but very much alive in our hearts.”
According to the company’s www.4gsgear.com website— a "forgotten soulja" can be anyone, “from our military to our loved ones who fought cancer and many of life’s other ups and downs but never gave up despite the many obstacles in their path.”
The concept for the website and the online 4GS Gear store was born from Phillip’s success at selling his "Forgotten Soulja" gear on the streets of New York, Chicago, and Atlanta. Phillip Jackson, a native Ohioan, already has a large following for the clothing line which he literally sold out of the back of his car. He states, “I had a concept, and was amazed how many people got it...just really understood the message behind 4GS. We hope the line will be equally as well received online.”
"Our clothing, which we prefer to call ‘urban gear’ rather than urban wear--mixes casual urban style and sophistication with a meaningful message statement," states Phillip Jackson.
Each article of clothing features the 4.G.S. Gear logo – a chain and lock, which symbolize strength and unity, according to Phillip.
As a Grand Opening promotion the company is offering free shipping on all orders for a limited time.
