King County (WA) Foreclosures Increase by 27% in March According to Default Research

Mount Pleasant, PA, May 10, 2007 --(PR.com)-- With news of foreclosures on the rise, sub-prime mortgages and the housing bubble bursting all over the country, King County (Washington) should be considered a crown jewel for real estate investors, according to Default Research Inc., the rapidly growing real estate research company.

“Foreclosures increased by 27 percent in the Seattle area. That is an increase from this time last year,” said Serdar Bankaci, president/CEO of Default Research Inc. (www.defaultresearch.com). “Foreclosures are on the rise, but Seattle is still a very strong real estate market and has avoided the nationwide real estate downfall.”

In fact, while much of the country focuses its attention on the recent sub-prime mortgage controversy, King, Pierce and Snohomish counties have experienced real estate growth and are still strong markets for investing.

“With the stability in foreclosures, the Default Research leads can be the key for investors to help families in economic distress and to buy foreclosure properties at cheaper rates,” said Bankaci, whose company’s leads arrive two to three weeks ahead of the competition. “Once investors purchase the properties in Seattle, they also find the living seems to be better there too.”

According to Bankaci, ever since the tech boom in the 1990’s, many people have been attracted to those counties in Washington State because of the strong job growth, which continues today while much of the country is seeing job growth and home prices drop.

“Home prices have continued to rise in Seattle making it more difficult for real estate investors to buy the properties and to make a profit,” said Bankaci. “With our leads, real estate owners are able to acquire homes at below market value and homeowners in economic distress also are spared the embarrassment of going through a foreclosure.”
