Smithfield, RI, January 31, 2012 --(PR.com)-- New Life Worship Center has its sixth annual Awakening Conference that will be held on April 26 -28, 2012 as a resource to help teens and to provide tools to youth pastors in the trenches who lead them.

Awakening Conference registration is now open to the three day event which will feature speakers including Rich Jr. and DawnCherè Wilkerson, Chris Hill, Chad Veach, Adam McCain among others soon to be announced.

Rich Jr. & DawnCherè Wilkerson lead a weekly young adult gathering in Miami, Florida called The Rendezvous, part of Trinity Church, where they share a vision to encourage and inspire this generation to live for Christ through music, teaching, discipleship and the arts.

His proven methods of small group ministry and strong church participation have lead to an explosion of church growth in churches both in America and across the globe. Adam currently serves as the Director of Christ for the Nations in Dallas, and the Lead Pastor of Church on the Hill in Cedar Hill, TX.

The Awakening Conference was birthed out of local church, New Life, as a resource to help local churches grow and sustain their youth ministries. New Life Youth Director Jordan Boyce said, “A few years back, I just didn’t see anything in the local Rhode Island area that would meet teens where they were in terms of the issues and struggles they had and help them by trying to make a significant impact in shaping who they would become. The annual Awakening Conference was created as we realized that we could reach the New England area to equip young people to walk out their faith in God and that we could also give youth pastors tools to help these kids to stay on track.”

In its inaugural year, Awakening Conference reached a couple hundred people and last year, over fourteen hundred people were in attendance. Teens can choose from multiple speaking sessions and youth pastors are encouraged to attend leadership sessions to revitalize their efforts and give them tools to take back home to their youth programs.

“We thank God for what’s happening in New England’s teens as they spend these three days being completely honest with their faith, or lack there of, in God. In this time, we can help them through their struggles with cutting, thoughts of suicide, addictions, lack of self-worth and encourage them that God does have a plan for their lives, while also empowering their youth pastors who continue to lead them. The Awakening Conference is all about restoration and giving them tools and resources to walk out their faith that will forever change their lives. And that’s why we put this conference on every year,” Boyce said.

Now also reaching those outside the New England region, Canadian youth pastor Sylvain Brochu said of the Awakening Conference, “Last year we brought our entire youth group down to the Awakening Conference because we don’t have anything like this in our area. It revitalized our youth pastors and it radically changed the lives of our teens as they encountered God and their faith became real, maybe for the first time. It’s a powerful time.”

The Awakening Conference is open to kids ages 12 and up. Tickets are $49.00 until March 4th and $59.00 afterwards. Registration is available online at www.AwakeningConference.net or by calling 401.232.5200. To learn more visit the Web site, Awakening Conference on Facebook and on Twitter.
