Philanthropic Arm of The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association Makes $750 Donation to Nonprofit

Sanford, NC, January 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (http://www.ncvma.org) has announced that Friends of the NCVMA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the organization, donated $750 to Animal Advocates of Moore County on behalf of the organization. The foundation allocates $750 to NCVMA district representatives each year to donate to the animal-related organization of their choice. District 8 representative Kim Browning, DVM, chose to donate to Animal Advocates of Moore County, whose mission is to reduce the number of dogs and cats that are euthanized in Moore County through a low-cost spay and neuter program, adoption services and countywide educational programs. AAMC provides emergency medical services to animals hit by cars if the owner cannot pay for surgery, and it has a Lost and Found program with a 95 percent success rate.
