iVolunteer NY Encourages Last-Minute Ticket Buyers to Sign Up for 2012 Gala and Support Volunteering in NY

iVolunteer NY, an NY volunteer group focused on providing Holocaust survivor care and companionship, is promoting its upcoming fundraising gala, which will occur in Manhattan on January 26.

New York, NY, January 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- New Yorkers eager to help the elderly and learn from history are almost out of time to buy tickets to the 2012 Annual iVolunteer Gala, a fundraising event hosted by iVolunteer NY. The gala will occur at the Angel Orensanz Center in New York, N.Y. from 7:30 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012. More information can be found at http://www.ivolunteerny.com/page-gala-event-2012.php.

The upcoming gala will benefit iVolunteer NY's continuing effort to provide Holocaust survivor companionship, matching up local young people with survivors in need of assistance and support. Funds will also go to the NY volunteer group's new SurvivorStories.org project, which focuses on collecting and sharing footage of Holocaust survivors and their stories. Beyond the organization's local efforts, the iVolunteer Gala will raise money to provide companionship and care to survivors throughout the country.

"With tickets starting at $125, the iVolunteer Gala is an accessible way for local New Yorkers and business owners to support our efforts to help the elderly and pass down Holocaust stories and lessons to younger generations. For local businesses eager to get involved, we're also offering Sponsor-level tickets, in addition to many ticket levels in between and an auction to facilitate further donations. With the help of our sponsors, we're featuring a host of appealing prizes in travel, jewelry, fashion, and entertainment this year," said Rabbi Tzvi Tauby, co-founder of the NY volunteer organization.

Members of the public are invited to purchase $125 Friend-level tickets online in advance of the event; these tickets will also be available at the door for $150 per person. In addition to supporting volunteering in NYC, Friend tickets afford guests access to the evening's auctions, as well as top-shelf liquor, deluxe hors d’oeuvres, and a wine tasting at the event.

iVolunteer NY is also offering Partner, Pillar, and Builder tickets at $200, $375, and $850, respectively, for individuals interested in donating to the NY volunteer event at a VIP level. Each level entitles guests to premium liquor, in addition to certificates for the silent auction (ranging from $10 to $50) and tickets to win an iPad raffle (up to 10 tickets per VIP purchase). As an added bonus, Partner, Pillar, and Builder guests will also receive advertising space in the volunteering in NY gala booklet, plus additional guest tickets at the Pillar and Builder levels.

Local business owners can support helping the elderly even more with the gala's $2,500 Sponsor tickets, which award buyers 10 tickets to a corresponding 10-person table, a full-page booklet ad, $200 towards the silent auction, 25 raffle passes, and a bottle of Blue Label Johnnie Walker Scotch. The NY volunteer event has already secured sponsorship and support from Axel, DesiHits!, DJ Skee, Hiltzik Strategies, Ajax Union, Metro-Spaces, Affinity Commercial, JEMB Realty, and Google, among other businesses.
