Martha's Home Announces Second Chance Prom
Martha's Home announces its biggest seasonal fundraiser, the Second Chance Prom, March 31st 2012 at the Amarillo Civic Center.
Amarillo, TX, January 25, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Martha’s Home of Amarillo announces its fourth annual Second Chance Prom, Saturday March 31st from 7 to 11 p.m., at the Amarillo Civic Center. As the nonprofit organization’s biggest fundraiser of the season, the Second Chance Prom is an amazing evening of entertainment, in which attendees have a second chance to experience prom night for the first time with your current sweetheart, or as a fun evening with friends!
The event kicks off at 7pm in the North Exhibit Hall at the Amarillo Civic Center. This year’s theme is Back to the Future, and will feature décor inspired by the movie classic, including an original DeLorean, a clock tower, and movie vignettes performed by student actors directed by Jason Crespin of the Amarillo Little Theatre.
In keeping with the prom motif, the event will include a spacious dance floor and music with a live DJ, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar, as well as live and silent auctions. A professional photographer will be on hand to help you capture the moment.
Mary Kay Kuhrts, Event Coordinator, declares the event to be “--the most fun fundraiser you’ll ever go to!”
All proceeds from The Second Chance Prom go to benefit Martha’s Home, an Amarillo-based nonprofit organization providing transitional housing and assistance to homeless women and their children, in effort to help them become self-sufficient, productive members of our community. Learn more at www.marthashome.org. You can also find information about the event on Facebook under Second Chance Prom Back to the Future Event and http://secondchanceprom.org.
The Second Chance Prom is open to the public. Tickets are $35, and are available thru all Panhandle Ticket outlets, including the Civic Center Box Office, area United Supermarket locations, or charge online at http://www.amarillociviccenter.com/?p=4633. For table reservations or corporate sponsorship, contact Mary Kay Kuhrts at 806/367-1757.
