Alan Cross Joins 98.1 London Ontario News Radio for Weekly Show
London, Canada, January 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- 98.1 Free FM has announced that Alan Cross, the Godfather of modern rock has joined their London, Ontario news radio station for a brand new two hour weekly show. “The Secret History of Rock” will be airing every Sunday between 9am-11am.
The program is a blend of music and storytelling, with a focus on music from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Alan Cross delivers interesting and relatively unheard of facts about the artists featured in the show and then plays their tracks for the audience. This offers listeners with a look behind the music, and informs fans with information that they may never have heard before, about their favourite artists.
Alan Cross is a Canadian radio broadcaster and writer. His radio program, “The Ongoing History of New Music” debuted in February 1993 and since then there have been over 700 one-hour episodes making it the longest-running music documentary in North America. Cross also writes a column in “The Metro.” The weekly column in the national commuter paper focuses on alternative rock.
