Washington, DC Area Group Famous For a Century to Release Album, Adds Frontman

Washington, DC area group Famous For A Century announces the release of their debut album and the signing of a new frontman.

Washington, DC, January 31, 2012 --(PR.com)-- For the past three months two men have been getting together once a week and writing songs under the name Famous For A Century and today that number grows to three.

The supremely talented voice of Aly Miramini (The War Within) joins guitarist Pete Fraedrich (The Fostered, Peter Christian) and drummer Dave Whitcomb (Penderbrooke, Abbot and West) to create what is being hailed as one of the greatest combinations of talent currently found in the Washington, DC metro area. An accomplished vocalist born in Richmond, Virginia, Aly began playing violin at 8 years old, piano at 11 years old, and started classical voice lessons by age 14. His love of music began at an early age. He grew up listening to vinyl records from the likes of the Beatles, Neil Diamond to Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin and Queen. His influences also include Glen Campbell, Harry Nilsson, Tori Amos, and Simon & Garfunkel. That love of music took Aly to the Manhattan School of Music in New York. There he studied classical voice. His passion for Rock and Pop music led to Pop voice lessons. Most recently, he was the front man for The War Within, a rock band from Northern Virginia.

In addition to Mr. Miramini joining the lineup, the group has enlisted RIAA certified platinum producer Richard Goe (O.A.R., Honor by August) of Endeavor Recording to handle production duties for their upcoming album and beyond. By making this move the group hopes to expand their business base as they get set for a push into the mainstream market later this year.
