Barefoot Entertainment Ambassadors Bring Hope to Children Through Samaritan’s Feet
The 2012 season of entertainment events is lining up as non-profit Samaritan’s Feet continues to partner with artists, churches and event planners to raise funds for shoes for children in need around the world.
Charlotte, NC, January 30, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Artists from various platforms have signed on to become Barefoot Entertainment Ambassadors (BEAs) to champion the cause of Samaritan’s Feet as they perform in their bare feet at events around the country.
Some of the BEA events lined up for the 2012 season include the 2nd Annual West Coast Gospel Fest in California, where some of the best in gospel music will turn out to participate. The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will continue to partner through select events. Other artists include Grammy Award winning singer songwriter Gordon Chambers; the urban rock street pop singer songwriter Damien Horne; and the stage play “The Evolution of Black Gospel Music,” written by Christian/Urban playwright Neal Jones of the Stellar Award winning band Forever Jones. Samaritan’s Feet will also host “Barefoot at the Beach” in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, an annual May Festival featuring some of the best Beach and Shag Music bands in the country.
Samaritan’s Feet Barefoot Entertainment Director Peter Rieke says, “We are thrilled that entertainers have agreed to go ‘barefoot for bare feet’ and partner to raise proceeds during their events. The money they raise will be directed towards Samaritan’s Feet’s continued efforts to supply shoes of hope for the more than 300 million children who are without shoes today.”
Samaritan’s Feet encourages artists and entertainers from all genres to help raise awareness about the plight of many children and families around the world. Those interested may contact Barefoot Entertainment Director Peter Rieke at 704.575.1993 or at prieke@samaritansfeet.com.
