Bates Creative Group President at Adobe World Wide Sales Conference
Debbie Bates-Schrott shares Marines magazine iPad app design and development advice with Adobe developers.
Silver Spring, MD, February 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Each year Adobe chooses one customer team to present at its annual sales conference. On December 13-15, 2011, Debra Bates-Schrott, President of Bates Creative Group, and her client, Greg Reeder, Director of Marine Corps Production for the Defense Media Activity, U.S. Marine Corps, presented on the conference’s main stage in Las Vegas, NV.
Bates Creative Group has designed and developed the Marines magazine for the tablet market since 2010 using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, a solution for creating, distributing, monetizing and optimizing content and publications for tablet devices. Bates-Schrott and Reeder shared their perspectives on how Adobe’s solutions help solve current business concerns and allowed the entire Adobe and field support organizations to learn from their experience.
“The conference was a huge success. The opportunity to be an Adobe Digital Publishing Suite beta-tester for a year was fantastic, but the invitation to share our experience and success with Adobe’s agents and developers was a huge honor. Our Marines magazine iPad app has highlighted our studio’s ability to successfully take a publication from print to tablet and has been an innovative project that our designers love to work on,” says Debra Bates-Schrott, President of Bates Creative Group.
The Marines magazine iPad app was launched in October 2010 to rave reviews on iTunes, making it the first official U.S. military iPad magazine.
The tablet app was recently named one of the “10 Cool iPad Apps From Uncle Sam” on InformationWeek.com and has won various awards from the Association Media and Publishing and Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington.
