The Arizona Self-Storage Association (AZSA) has joined forces with Kure It Cancer Research to raise money for kidney and other underfunded cancers.
Phoenix, AZ, February 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Arizona Self-Storage Association (AZSA) has joined forces with Kure It Cancer Research to raise money for kidney and other underfunded cancers. Through the partnership, which began in December 2011, the AZSA will promote Kure It to its membership, which includes storage industry professionals from throughout the state of Arizona.
Kure It will be the beneficiary of fundraising efforts by the association and its members, including the 2nd Annual Silent Auction which will take place during the AZSA Trade Show and Conference in early May. Last year’s auction raised over $1,600 for Kure It. AZSA Executive Director Anne Mari DeCoster said, “We are excited about increasing awareness regarding the need for research, and we hope to have another successful auction at this year’s show. We’re encouraging every participating company to donate an item to the auction, and help us top last year’s results.”
Kure It has developed several programs unique to the self-storage industry, all designed at raising critical dollars to fund innovative research. Through “Store for the Kure” and “Round Up for Research”, storage facilities and their tenants are making an impact in the way underfunded cancers are treated.
Kure It founder Barry Hoeven said, “We are proud to join forces with the Arizona Self-storage Association. They have been supportive of our mission in the past, and we hope to do even greater things going forward. By adopting Kure It as their charity, the AZSA will make an impact in the lives of those battling cancer.”
Kure It’s unique partnership with the self-storage industry is key to the organization’s success. The industry’s willingness to take on the cause of cancer research has helped Kure It raise more than $1,000,000 to date.
