DLR Group and Pappas & Pappas Architects Selected for University of Wyoming Gateway Center Project

Denver, CO, February 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Architecture firm DLR Group (a Wyoming corporation) along with Cheyenne, Wyoming partner architect, Pappas & Pappas Architects, were recently awarded the design services for the University of Wyoming Gateway Center project in Laramie, Wyoming. The building will serve as a welcoming “gateway” to the campus, highlighting the legacy, achievements, mission and pride of the University of Wyoming. The 40,000+ SF project will include a museum-like public reception area and visitor’s center with exhibit displays, personnel offices, office support spaces, reception, conference and seminar rooms, lounges, and an event hosting and dining area with support spaces such as a preparatory kitchen and storage rooms. Primary tenants for the office spaces of the building will be the University of Wyoming Foundation, Alumni Association, Career Services and Student Admissions.

DLR Group and Pappas & Pappas Architects will provide the lead architectural design, project management, interior design, LEED administration, quality control, and construction administration for the project. This project will pursue a LEED Silver equivalent rating with alternative energy and approaches to sustainability. Construction is anticipated to begin in the fall of 2012.
