Amertron Receives 8(A) Certification from SBA

West Melbourne, FL, May 14, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Amertron received final certification in the SBA 8(A) program effective May 8, 2007. The Small Business Administration’s 8 (A) program is a business development program for Small Disadvantaged Businesses. Amertron participation will generate exciting new opportunities for the local economy.

Amertron’s contract manufacturing division in West Melbourne, FL will benefit from the participation in this program. Amertron produces high reliability electronic product including custom cables, printed circuit boards, and enclosures.

Amertron is currently enrolled in 2 Department of Defense Mentor Protégé programs. Harris GCSD mentors Amertron in a “For Credit” Mentor Protégé Agreement with the Department of Defense. Amertron also participates in the US Navy’s training program “Defense Small Business Technology and Readiness Resource” (DSTARR). These programs provide Amertron a strong foundation to sustain the aggressive growth plan.
