Learning Together Announces Triangle Rock, Paper, Scissors Showdown

Raleigh, NC, February 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Unique Fundraising Event to Create a Triangle-Wide Competition

Learning Together, a private nonprofit that meets the developmental, educational and health needs of children of all abilities, is excited to announce the first ever Triangle Rock, Paper, Scissors Showdown on March 17, 2012. The fundraiser, which will culminate with a trip to Las Vegas for the winner, will be held at the Union in Raleigh. All proceeds will benefit Learning Together.

“What a fun, entertaining and competitive way to show your support for an organization,” said Nell Barnes, Executive Director at Learning Together. “In a community with so many great nonprofits and fundraising events happening on a regular basis, the Triangle Rock, Paper, Scissors Showdown is unique and stands apart from your typical walk/run, wine dinner, or golf tournament.”

The Triangle Rock, Paper, Scissors Showdown, which will coordinate with St. Patrick’s Day, starts at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012. Current sponsors for the tournament include Union Raleigh, Davis Designs, Glover Printing, Webuneek, and Yelp.

“Our sponsors make all the difference in helping us fundraise so we can meet the needs of all children,” Eric vonHaam, President of the Board of Directors, said. “This unique fundraising opportunity would not be possible without assistants from organizations and volunteers and we can’t wait to compete in the ultimate contest of skill, fun and luck!”

Sponsorships are still available. Information on sponsorships can be found on the Triangle RPS Showdown website. Individuals can preregister for $10 or $15 at the doors. Individual registration opens on February 15.
