World Overcomers Christian Church Hosts Valentine’s Celebration on Friday, Feb. 10
Singles, Engaged and Married Couples Encouraged to Attend Festive Event
Research Triangle Park, NC, February 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Senior Pastor Andy Thompson, founder of World Overcomers Christian Church (http://www.wocconline.org), a nondenominational church serving worshippers in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park community, has announced that the church will host a Valentine’s party branded “A Valentine’s For All.” The event takes place between 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Feb. 10 in the church’s main lobby at 2933 S. Miami Blvd. in Durham. More than 700 people are expected to attend the Caribbean-themed event, which will feature live music, Caribbean food, dancing and interactive incentive based competitions. In previous years the church’s Valentine’s celebration took the form of a formal banquet open only to married and engaged couples; this year the event has been reclassified as a party and is open anyone regardless of their status.
In order to encourage healthy interactions, a clever color designation concept that mimics the significance of traffic lights has been implemented to indicate attendee’s status. Married couples are encouraged to wear red, dating and engaged couples to wear yellow, and singles are encouraged to wear green attire.
Tickets are available for $25 per person. For more information, visit http://www.wocconline.org.
Quotes:
“We live in a busy world where people simply do not take the time to date, much less find a Godly spouse,” said Thompson. “Our Valentine’s party is designed to encourage and celebrate men and women who have chosen to make a lifelong commitment to each other through marriage, as well as encourage single members to find both friendship and the right relationship for them.”
